I, Ang Wilson, am the owner of Sol Yoga Studio. I discovered yoga back in 1998 when I hurt my foot from running AND had just lost a dear cousin unexpectedly in a car accident. Yoga quickly became my everything and I knew I wanted more. Eager to share this passion, I completed my YTT in December of 2002. By January of 2003 I already had teaching gigs lined up! Not loving life in corporate America, I opened Sol in September of 2011 and I haven’t looked back since. Craving more, I started offering my own teacher trainings in 2018. It’s been a hell of a ride and it all started by taking ONE class. On a day when I probably didn’t wanna go but did. I didn’t know it then but that’s when the magic started to unfold. Over 20 years later and that fire is still lit from this practice. Let’s light it up together. My yoga teacher training was one of the best decisions I ever made. You’ll never have enough time or enough money. But if you have the slightest thought on wanting to learn more and/or teach yoga, you gotta get out of your own way and just do it. I’m glad I did!

With over 20 years in the business, I know our style of yoga works! We’ll give you the tools to teach a powerful sequence. Once you’ve got the sequence down, you can add or subtract to it so it is accessible for all levels! If you want to get the most out of the time on your mat, this is the power yoga training for you! While it’s a very physical workout, power yoga is our healer, our therapist, our church and our shot of espresso! Join us in sharing this gift with as many people as possible!

Here’s what one trainee said about our virtual training in March 2020:

“I decided to sign up for yoga teacher training last year due to my love for yoga and to expand my knowledge to help others! The course ended up being virtual due to the pandemic and I thought to myself how is this going to work? Well it did and it was a pretty amazing experience! We were able to connect as a class, developed lasting relationships and were able practice with each other daily! It was super convenient. We longed for the practice with each other! All in all it was a great experience and helped me adapt to a changing time but at the same time gave an edge up because we learned right from the beginning how to practice/teach virtually and still get the most out of it! If you’re on the fence about teacher training… do it! You will not regret it!” – Steph B.

What People are Saying

Amazing experience – from beginning to end! I completed Sol’s Teacher Training in 2018. TT will give you a great overview of the yoga sequence and a detailed breakdown of each pose. We even went beyond the “classroom” style training, as Angela brought real life examples, shared best practices on getting hired in the yoga world and brought meditation practice into our daily trainings. The attendees of training is so inspiring in itself, watching a group of yogi’s at different levels continue to explore their love for yoga. Teacher training with Angela at Sol Yoga Studio was incredible and I’d highly recommend to anyone considering deepening their yoga practice or wanting to teach! It’s such a rewarding experience to get out there and teach with the fundamentals you learn from this studio. ” – Abbie

Teacher training at Sol was a priceless experience for me. I’d always been interested in teaching, so when Ang announced the course I knew I was out of excuses. This training turned out to be SO much more than just learning how to cue and lead a class. Our group was diverse, being made up of many different personalities and practices. By the end of training we’d formed a great bond and an awesome yogi support system amongst ourselves. Ang dug deep into the realities of teaching, including what to expect and what we couldn’t plan for. She prepped us on finding and taking advantage of teaching opportunities, which paid off seeing as any of us who has wanted to teach is already doing so! Every single member of our group left the training genuinely prepared to lead a class, and each of us noticeably strengthened our own practices along the way. This was a fantastic investment that I will continue to benefit from. I’m so grateful I went for it!” – Mary D.

The decision to take my 200 hour teacher training at Sol was one of the best I’ve ever made. I wasn’t even looking to get certified at the time, but when I found out that Sol was offering training, it just felt right. I wasn’t sure what I would get out of it, or even if I would end up teaching afterward, but within two months of finishing my training I was teaching twice a week. I feel so happy after every class, and love sharing my passion for yoga and the knowledge I gained at Sol. I learned so much about the practice and myself from those afternoons with Angela and my fellow trainees. That alone would have been worth it. But, there was also lots of emphasis on how to comfortably and confidently teach a class, which I was surprised to hear was not true of all teacher trainings around. I’m so glad I took this leap of faith, because the time and money I invested were nothing compared to what I got out. If you want to change your day, go to a yoga class – if you want to change your practice, and maybe your life, take teacher training at Sol 🙂 ” – Gina D.
