Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, the holiday season is officially here! I love the holidays and not to sound cliché, but it is one of the most wonderful times of the year. It is a time to give and spread joy.
However, it is also a very busy time for many people, and it can be very stressful. From shopping for family members to attending office holiday parties and gathering with family and friends, it can be exhausting!!
During this hectic time, many of us may not be able to get on our mats to practice power yoga. I know it can be a crazy and busy time, but if you can, try to get on your mat at least once a week this month. You may not realize it, but it is times like this that we need yoga the most.
Here are some signs that we need power yoga:
You feel anxious all the time.
Many of us may feel like there is something we are forgetting to do and that we are running out of time. Your brain is overloaded with all the stuff you need to do this month and you are unable to relax.
You are not sleeping well.
Though you are exhausted during the day and can’t wait to go to bed, when your head finally hits the pillow, you can’t fall asleep. Even when you do fall asleep, you wake up often in the middle of the night and wake up exhausted in the morning.
You are often distracted.
When you are at work, you can’t seem to complete the task at hand. You are often distracted and thinking of what you need to do after you leave work.
If you are feeling any of the above, you need yoga. It can help you reset and regroup. It will help you get all the crazy out and feel more grounded afterwards.
