Feeling tight in your hips? Join Kelly for a two hour practice that will create heat and mobility in the joints as she incorporates deep hip openers to release tension carried in our hips.
Hip opening poses are very beneficial to yoga practice. When our hip flexors are shortened, this limits our flexibility and could create problems in the lower back and knees. When the hips become more flexible and open, the lower back becomes stable and strong and the pressure is lifted allowing us to let it all go.
Another benefit to opening the hips is the release of tension. We carry so much tension in our hips. By building heat in specific poses, we can burn away not only the physical tension, but the mental and emotional tension as well. The more we let go, the more open we become allowing us to bring our attention to the present moment both on and off our mat.
