Many yogis often wonder how many times a week they should practice power yoga. It’s really up to you and your body. Listen to your body. If you are fatigued, rest. If you are hydrated and want to twist out the crazy, get on your mat! From my own personal experience, I would say the more you practice the better you feel.
I started at once a week back in 1998. As the weeks and months and years went on, I wanted more. I wanted more yoga and less running. I wanted to sweat, destress, shut it down and disconnect more and more. Power yoga filled that desire. My yoga mat was the place where that all happened, over and over again. So I practiced more. Twice a week, three times a week. Some weeks I hit my mat every day depending on my schedule. I noticed I felt stronger, more calm and way happier!

Our days are crazy and our schedules have us running from one place to the next! If you can only make it to your mat once a week, it is better than not practicing at all. I noticed back in 1998 when I practiced once a week, I scheduled my whole week around that class time. And if I missed it, my whole week felt off. If some weeks are better than others, get it in as much as you can. For optimal results, most of our Sol yogis practice 2 to 3 times a week. Yoga deepens the connection between the mind, the body and the sol.
